Chlorinated Polyethylene
Chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) is a thermoplastic material made by replacing hydrogen atoms in high density polyethylene (C2H4)n with chloride ions. It has a chlorine content of 34–44% and a soft, rubbery texture. CPE has many physical and mechanical properties, including: Oil resistance, Chemical resistance, Improved thermal properties, Compression set, Flame retardancy, Tensile strength, and Abrasion resistance.
